EMOTIONS
IN 3D® - for dialogues that open hearts and minds.
When it comes to our emotions, opinions vary greatly and these
opinions often only tally superficially. If a more in-depth
exchange is needed or more intimate understanding is sought,
the EMOTIONS IN 3D® trigger an unforeseen effect. These three-dimensional
shapes invite people to talk, be they old or young, eloquent
or self-conscious. They automatically begin to talk about emotions.
The shapes help people to grasp the differences and congruities
in simple terms and understand how important each and every
opinion is. As a matter of course, people begin to engage in
respectful dialogue addressing individual points of view and
perceptions – dialogue which opens their hearts and stimulates
their minds.
The Emotions in 3D® give people a fun and entertaining way
to approach the topic of emotions and make us more conscious
of many aspects of interpersonal communication. This works
especially well with people who rarely address such issues.
We have a carfully selected set of 13 shapes (each approximately
18 cm in height and made of high-quality polyamide) that can
be held in the hand, for use in adult education, early education
and therapy. The shapes can therefore be integrated into a
wide array of established teaching, training and therapy methods.
Particular success has been achieved in groups of mixed cultures
or ages, and in the case of language deficits. The shapes can
contribute to:
1.) Sensory activation (seeing, touching,
hearing)
2.) Improving analytical faculties (observing and abstracting)
3.) Word and language development (visual descriptions and describing
emotions)
4.) Dialogue skills and conflict management (neutral communication)
5.) Sensitisation to differences of perception (one’s own perception
and that of others)
6.) Inward and outward self-confidence and social integration (behaviour
free of judgement)
7.) Communicating values (esteem, respect, honesty, self-confidence,
sense of responsibility, etc.)
8.) Integration (cross-linguistic and cross-cultural implementation)
9.) Prevention (pressure release and a safeguard against overreaction)
60 shapes have been developed so far, each of which can be focused on individually:
confidence, helpfulness, friendship, sympathy, curiosity, change, activity, flexibility,
affection, courage, empathy, development, idol, vision, knowledge, safety, honesty,
self-esteem, happiness, fame, respect, self-confidence, satisfaction, fulfilment,
love, pride, optimism, pessimism, superficiality, uncertainty, loneliness, conflict,
lethargy, hatred, rage, thoughtlessness, ignorance, failure, depression, aloofness,
fear, panic, suicide, release, mourning, unrequited love, lie, envy, greed, creation,
destruction, threat, effort, desire, ...
NOTE: The titles are approximations of the
shapes and their effects, and many of them do not correspond
with academic descriptions of emotions. As there is not always
a precise word that encapsulates an “emotional effect” and
since words can have more than one meaning, each title is
designed to elicit the essence of and topics relating to
the shape in question.
